Raining in Hilton Head – Plaza Crawl at The Village at Wexford

If it is raining in Hilton Head, as it sometimes does, don’t despair! There are lots of ways to entertain you and your family on the island when things get misty. One of my favorite things to do on a rainy day is avoid the crowds and visit one of our many unique shopping plazas. Last summer, I blogged about visiting Main Street Village when it is raining in Hilton head. This time, I am going to take you to another favorite: The Village at Wexford.

“The Best of Everything and Something for Everyone”

“The Boys” love a dog-friendly place!

Their slogan says it all. According to their website, The Village of Wexford is composed of 30 of the best merchants in the Hilton Head area. Visitors and locals alike enjoy fine shopping, dining and pampering that makes up the best of Hilton Head. Many of the merchants and The Village itself are consistently recognized by the community, winning the annual Island Packet and Hilton Head Monthly Readers Choice Awards. Best of all, it is dog-friendly!

Start With Java and End With Jazz

Start your day off right with a good cup of joe at Java

If you need a fine cup of joe and breakfast to start your plaza crawl, Java Burrito is the place to begin. Opening at 7:30am, Java uses the only finest ingredients and traditional methods to produce the most exceptional products. Both the Burrito Bar and Coffee Bar source organic and local food when in season, and they never use artificial preservatives and absolutely no growth hormones or antibiotics. On the other end of the plaza, The Jazz Corner, one of our favorite nightclubs on the island,  is the perfect setting to enjoy an evening of world-class entertainment and wonderful food. In between these two favorites are The British Open Pub, a local hang out the guys will enjoy, and Pino Gelato, for the kids.

Lots of Shops

The Oilerie is where you can sample aged balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Orange olive oil is my favorite!

While the shops for women do outnumber the shops for men and kids, there is “something for everyone,” as they promise. The guys can check out the men’s clothing stores, Teague’s, which in next to The British Open pub, so they won’t have to venture too far from their favorite sports game. They might also enjoy tasting the olive oil and balsamic vinegar at The Oilerie or sampling salami, cheese, craft beers and wines at Porter & Pig. The ladies have four boutique clothing stores to choose from, including my favorite, Currents. The kids have their own clothing store, Island Child, and Fido does, too, Tail Wiggles.

Pampering For When it is Raining in Hilton Head

Faces DaySpa is the perfect place to go when it is raining in Hilton Head. They can pamper you all afternoon!

What better excuse is their to be pampered than when it is raining in Hilton Head? If that is your attitude, The Village at Wexford is your place. Faces DaySpa can take care of all your pampering needs. Consistently voted as Hilton Head’s favorite spa, you could spend an entire afternoon there. Guys are welcome, too! Fido can enjoy the day being groomed at Vanity Fur. There truly is something for everyone at The Village at Wexford. Enjoy!

The Village at Wexford is Dog Friendly

Pets are welcome in the Village! Bring your furry friend with you anytime!. There are water bowls at all the store fronts, and the patios are pet friendly if you want to dine with your doggie. Ask about “Fido Fries”, homemade dog treats by Tail Wiggles. Rocket and Indy love ’em!
