Rainy Day in Hilton Head – Plaza Crawl at Main Street Village

Rainy Day in Hilton Head

Rainy Day in Hilton Head? Time to visit the Main Street Village. Dining and shopping at it’s best.

Looking for something to do on a rainy day in Hilton Head? Head on over to the shops at Main Street Village, just outside the gates of Hilton Head Plantation. There you will find all you need to keep everyone in your group happy, despite the rain. The shops at Main St. Village, owned by some of the friendliest people on the island, is home to my esteemed chiropractor, Dr. Brad Fraum. It is my all-time favorite shopping plaza, so let me share with you my top spots.

Dining Options are Many and Tasty

There are so many wonderful places to dine in this little plaza, you could spend the day there eating and drinking, not to mention consuming quarts of fabulous ice cream! I always start my rainy day in Hilton Head by eating lunch at Frankie Bones, enjoying a glass of wine while reviewing their daily specials. My local friends rave about Ruan Thai Hut, while my Ohio friends always want to visit Mangiamo’s for the Ohio State Buckeye’s vibe. Munchies has a very good  soup and sandwich menu, plus ice cream and chocolates. I love this place because they are very gluten-free friendly!  Main Street Cafe is a local favorite for both lunch and dinner, while WiseGuys is the perfect dining spot to enjoy big wines, small plates and signature entrees.

Shopping to Keep Everyone Happy on a Rainy Day

Camille and Company is one of my favorite clothing shops at Main Street Village. They offer trendy, quality, yet affordable clothing, shoes and accessories. Don’t miss this place.

With all the specialty boutiques at the Main Street Village, everyone will have something to do. The ladies will love Camille & Company for their trendy yet affordable clothing. The Stock Exchange is an upscale designer consignment boutique where women can find a special outfit. The men will enjoy spending time at Legends Sport Gallery. There, the owner promises he has at least one collectible for every team and every player, You might not be able to pull the guys out of there. That’s okay as that leaves everyone else more time to shop at Lettrs for personalized and monogrammed gifts and ArtWare  for unique items at great prices. The Pink Pineapple offers furniture with coastal character, enchanting home accessories and gifts. The Pink House Gallery showcases original art by local artists in a warm, cozy atmosphere. Have everyone meet up at Munchies to enjoy the best ice cream on the island.

Services Available on a Rainy Day in Hilton Head

Need a haircut, your nails done or a massage, but you have put it off? Have a prescription to refill, dry cleaning to drop off or a bike that needs repaired? Want to pick up a few groceries or plan a trip? A rainy day in Hilton Head is just the excuse you need to take care of a few of these things. See the Main Street Village website for a complete list of all their merchants. While you might not enjoy the weather on a rainy day in Hilton Head, I know you will enjoy my favorite shopping plaza. Let me know how it goes!
